Plasma rich fibrin (PRF) is a biological material derived from a patient's own blood and is used in various medical and aesthetic procedures. It is a second-generation platelet concentrate that contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors, cytokines, and other bioactive molecules.

The process of obtaining PRF involves a simple blood draw from the patient. The blood is then centrifuged to separate the different components. Unlike platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which typically requires the addition of anticoagulants, PRF is obtained without any additives.
